Epic strategy game of territorial conquest, resource farming, and development of your own empire - powered by Solana blockchain and NFTs.
Metaversium is an online game, set in a fictional world, that combines
both medieval and modern times. It gives a new look to a hybrid of
DeFi and GameFi models. Each player needs a NFT character to start
playing. In order to construct a small village or a powerful castle,
players need to buy a LAND parcel or rent it by simply sharing some of
the farmed resources with a landowner. All players have the same goal:
farm as many resources as possible, build new constructions, recruit
troops, and expand their empire by conquering the villages of other
players.
Resources and a new look on DeFi.
To recruit soldiers and construct buildings, players need resources.
There are 4 main resources in Metaversium: wood, stone, iron, and
in-game currency. All four resources are liquid SPL tokens that can be
withdrawn from the game to a personal wallet and be traded on an
in-game marketplace powered by Serum DEX.
Players can earn resources by working in the corresponding buildings
(stake their NFT character for resources), such as "Lumberjack's Hut"
for $WOOD, "Stonecutter's Hut" for $STONE, and "Iron
Mine" for $IRON. Resources must be claimed to a personal wallet
once the work is finished. Any unclaimed resources can be looted by
other players in case of attack. Watch out, as these assets have some
real liquidity and value!
Upgradable buildings and resource burning. Players can either trade their resources in the marketplace or spend (burn) resources to upgrade production chains and build new constructions to open more game mechanics. Every construction is an NFT, that can be purchased for resources or sold in the in-game market powered by Serum DEX. The number of resources that players get will depend on the level of corresponding buildings.
Land ownership. There are two types
of the game map in Metaversium: global map where players can see other
villages to attack and loot unclaimed resources, and a village map
that shows all constructions, tiles with resources and a detailed view
of current activities. Players don't have to be the owners of the land
to play in Metaversium. However, landowners passively receive up to
10% of farmed resources on their land tiles. Every time players claim
farmed resources, the share will be automatically paid to the
landowner.
Play to Earn. Metaversium
encourages players to earn in-game currency that can be traded outside
of the game. This can be done in various ways, such as by looting
other players' villages in PVP battles or by working in buildings such
as Bank. These constructions, that open high yield staking, are
expensive to build. Players need to farm resources for weeks and
months to get to some advanced building types. Another option is to
buy required resources (wood, stone, and iron) from other players in
the in-game marketplaces.
By using these mechanics, Metaversium encourages players to develop
and progress to keep growing their empire, open new buildings and
recruit defensive units to protect their unclaimed staking yields from
the enemies.
